EL7Z UP (엘즈업; pronounced "else up") is a seven-member project girl group under Apple Monster and DG Entertainment. Formed through the Mnet survival show Queendom Puzzle, the group made their debut on September 14, 2023.
Name Meaning[]
The name 'EL7Z UP' is an anagram of the word 'puzzle'; the name represents 'the 7 best members puzzled out' by the Queendom Puzzle's viewers.

Pre-Debut: Queendom Puzzle[]
On April 10, 2023, Mnet announced they would be airing a spin-off of the reality show Queendom, titled Queendom Puzzle, where already-debuted idols would compete for a spot in a project group. The show's teaser trailer, released later that same day, revealed the show would have 28 competitors, seven of which would make the final lineup.[1] Queendom Puzzle's first episode aired on June 13, 2023.
During Queendom Puzzle's seventh episode, which aired on July 25, the debuting group's name was revealed to be EL7Z U+P. However, due to backlash from viewers, the name was later altered to EL7Z UP.[2]
On August 15, in the finale episode, the seven debuting members of EL7Z UP were revealed: Kei, Yeeun, Yeoreum, Yeonhee, Nana, Hwiseo and Yuki.[3] The group's official social media accounts were opened later that same day.
2023: Debut with 7+UP[]
On August 16, 2023, Mnet announced that EL7Z UP would make its official debut sometime in September.[4] On September 1, a teaser posted across the group's social medias confirmed they would debut on September 14 with their first mini album 7+UP.[5]
On September 8, the group revealed their official fanclub name would be ELZ7 U.[6]
